The Associate Dean of Interhigh role The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise and experience of working across the education system in the UK as a Head in Primary, Secondary or Further Education, and come from either a State School or Independent School background. With significant experience as a Head, we are looking for a person who has experience of leading change in a large organization, has a deep knowledge of the education sector in the UK and knowledge and experience of implementing digital education delivery either blended, online or education technology innovations in their school. Passionate about putting the learner at the centre of learning, the successful candidate will be used to deadlines, managing large teams of teachers and leading change. As our Associate Dean of Interhigh you will: – Support the development and drive the implementation of the education strategy for InterHigh – Hold overall responsibility for all operational matters related to InterHigh School – Have responsibility for school improvement and quality plans for InterHigh – Work with Executive Director of Education and Director of Human Resources and Operations for talent mapping and succession planning to ensure Wey has the strength in depth in teacher capability – Identify gaps to drive recruitment and continuing professional development – Report to the Executive Director of Education and Board on core performance and KPI data – Ensure performance data is cascaded throughout the InterHigh Education team to drive results and accountability – Support student services support development and shaping to continuously improve the student experience – Coordinate communications and events with parents and students – Hold responsibility for leading on human resources coordination and liaison for the school with allocated HR Business partner – Participate as a key member of the Academic Board – Be responsible for coordinating the workstreams and programmes of the Education Strategy Our ideal Associate Dean of Interhigh will have: – Capability to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments – Experience of working in the primary, secondary or college sector – Experience of working in state or independent school sector – Observable evidence of success in delivering organization-wide contexts – Strategic and operational background in education – Knowledge of leading change in a large school – The capability of leading teachers, role modelling best practices and with a reputation for delivering high quality improvements – Senior educational experience with evidence of delivering sustainable quality improvements – The ability to motivate and manage a team, while having the courage to make difficult decisions when necessary; – Strong business awareness and the ability to focus on setting and meeting demanding targets, – Strong analytical skills, with a good attention to detail – A high level of awareness of the technology space and how future trends can be incorporated into Wey’s offering.
